I am the Founder and Program Director of Y.E.S. WE CAN, INC. (a faith-based, small non-profit ministry) and the newly established Y.E.S. WE CAN CONSULTING, L.L.C. (a Christian, for-profit business) that seeks to empower and impact the lives of both women and men around the world. I am also a creative writer/poet, empowerment speaker, counselor, life coach/mentor, the current Department Administrator at High Point University, and a self-published author and co-author of 6 books. My children’s books are based on true events from my childhood/adulthood and are being sold in the Next Chapter Bookstore-Gift Shop/Benz Boyz Restaurant.
With over 15 years of experience in social work, mental health, advocacy, and mentoring, I have proudly developed and facilitated several community outreach programs for youth and families. I have an Associate of Science in Human Services from Ivy Tech Community College; a Bachelor of Social Work from Ball State University; a Master of Arts in Ministry from Wesley Seminary; a Master of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University; and I am a Certified Youth Care Professional Practitioner. Above all else, I am a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful daughters and a native of Indiana. My beautiful family currently resides in Greensboro, NC. I have a passion for all things inspiring, empowering, creative, and life-changing. If you are up for the "PUSH" to reach your maximum potential, I am definitely ready for the "CHALLENGE!" |

I enjoy mentoring and counseling young boys/men of all ages. I have about 4 years of residential day treatment and mentoring professional work experience. I am proud to work alongside my wife to teach our two daughters to EMPOWER SUCCESS through Christian morals and values.
I have an Associate’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Design Technology. I am an artist first and foremost. Secondly, I’m a portrait photographer who specializes in traveling photography and capturing the beauty of nature in its rawest forms. Born in Anderson, Indiana—I have always had a passion for visual arts--such as watercolors/acrylic painting, drawing, street photography, graphic design, and nature photography. I received my natural eye and talents for photography from my father who was a freelance photographer. In my portraiture my goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people, places, objects, things, and time. My recent focus has been on photographing varying environments, past/current historical events, unique individuals, and those pushing humanity forward. My work places people in exaggerated situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I have been insightfully blessed to capture the pure essence of beauty that others are not able to see with their own natural eye. I look for a sense of defiance and fortitude in my work. |
